Hi sunshinegirl23,

Thank you for reaching out to EmpowHER with your question! There are many HRT options out there which can often make it difficult to determine which one is the best and healthiest to use.

HRT is a great option for women to balance symptoms while going through menopause. It also has many health benefits including protection against osteoporosis, heart disease and colorectal cancer.

Some different forms of HRT include pills, patches and suppositories. The best type of HRT to use is different for all women since our bodies differ so much. Determining which type of HRT to take can be determined based off various factors like age, symptoms you are experiencing, and severity of symptoms. It is best to talk to your doctor to discuss different types of HRT and decide which option is best for you specifically.

In the meantime, here are some effective and healthy HRT options you can check out and ask your doctor about. For pills, some good choices include, Premarin, Cenestin and Estrace. A lot of studies have been done on the pill form of HRT. Estrogen pills can help a lot with improving symptoms of menopause and lower the risk of osteoporosis.

Some healthy and effective HRT in patch form include Vivelle-Dot, Climara and Estraderm/Estradiol. HRT patches have also been proven to be very helpful. They are also good to use if you think you may forget taking the pill form.

For more information, check out this helpful EmpowHER article about hormone therapy options: https://www.empowher.com/hormones/content/hormone-therapy-options-menopause.

Again, you want to be sure to set an appointment up with your doctor to figure out what the best form of HRT is for you.

Hope this helped and please keep me updated!

Best,

Erin
