Hi Anon,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your question with EmpowHER! That is definitely confusing to get random twitches throughout your body if you are not used to them. Hoping I can give you some resources to help you figure out the cause of the twitches!

That is great to know you follow such a healthy lifestyle. Getting in regular exercise, eating healthy and drinking plenty of water is very important. Usually the most common causes of muscle and body twitching are dehydration and vitamin deficiency. Try finding a multivitamin and take it daily to see if that helps with the twitching at all.

Another word for muscle twitching is muscle fasciculation. According to Healthline, some common causes of muscle twitching include exercise, anxiety and stress, smoking, vitamin or nutritional deficiencies, caffeine and other types of stimulants, reactions to drugs like estrogen and stimulants.

I would also advise visiting a doctor. They will be able to give you a thorough diagnosis as to why you are experiencing random body twitches.

I hope this has helped! Please keep us updated and let us know if you have further questions.

Best,
Erin
