Taking an emergency contraception can lead to irregular periods, either "breakthrough bleeding" (bleeding in between periods), or it can even delay a period. It's not uncommon to start bleeding again.
Just as an FYI, research says that emergency contraception is about 91% effective so you always run the risk of pregnancy even with the ipill. Please consider a safer form of birth control and use a condom every time. Emergency contraception does not protect against STD's.
