Hi Anon,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your question with EmpowHER! I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing so much pain, that is always tough to deal with.

What sort of tests did your gynecologist and urologist give you that came back negative?

Also, when your pain occurs is it ongoing or does it last for a few seconds at a time then come back again later? It is difficult to determine what exactly is causing this pain and spasms in your vaginal and rectal areas. Based off your symptoms you explained, here are some conditions that have similar symptoms: proctalgia fugax, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), hemorrhoids. All of these conditions are different though, so it would be best to visit your doctor. Your doctor can help run more accurate tests and determine what is affecting you based off your symptoms, test results, etc.

In the meantime, to help reduce the pain, try taking long, relaxing baths in warm water, allow your self to sit down and relax often, drink plenty of water, and use a pain killer like Advil when needed.

I hope this helped! Please keep me updated on your doctor visit and let me know if you have further questions.

Best,
Erin
