Having sex a few days before your period would not affect when it arrives. Periods can come late for a variety of reasons, including stress. Feeling emotional just before it starts is pretty common. Hopefully you can find some ways to relax and reduce your stress, and before you know it your period will arrive and give you more peace of mind.
