Hello michwho,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. I am so very sorry to hear that you were raped, and have been too scared to share the horror with any one.

We are hear to help in any way possible. Michwho, how old are you?
I really think it is important for you to be examined by either your primary care physician, or your gynecologist, who would be the better choice. If you do not have a physician, consider scheduling an appointment at a women's health clinic, such as Planned Parenthood.

A physical exam, with a pelvic exam, will determine if there was any injury that could be the cause of discomfort when you apply pressure to your lower abdomen, where your uterus is located.

Blood tests to check for STDs, pregnancy, and hormone levels may be ordered. There is a risk for a STD following rape. A blood pregnancy test is more accurate than a urine test. If you are not pregnant, a blood test to check hormone levels might shed light on why your periods have been irregular. A blood test can be done to check your hemoglobin and hematocrit levels and assess your level of anemia.

Lastly, Planned Parenthood offers counseling that could really help you cope with the trauma you experienced.

Please keep in touch,
Maryann
