Are you having any other problems with short term memory?
Memory loss is often one of the first and more recognizable signs of dementia. Asking the same questions repeatedly, forgetting common words while speaking, and decreased ability to follow directions are other early signs.
If you're concerned about memory loss, see your primary care physician, who can conduct tests to judge the degree of memory impairment and diagnose the cause.
