When I saw your headline I wasn't quite sure what to expect. As a breast cancer survivor I appreciated your creative efforts to tie baseball statistics to cancer.
There's more to the story though. Major League Baseball dedicated Game 3 of the 110th World Series this year to patients with EVERY type of cancer through an event with the Stand Up to Cancer organization.
As a leukemia survivor, whose finds that my second cancer gets far less attention and support than breast cancer, it was wonderful to see an inclusive event this October and I hope there will be many more.
Cancer survivors, no matter what type of cancer, need and deserve more support.
