Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for seeking our help with your concern.

With chest pain, the first thought is heart attack.

But considering the organs, muscles and nerves in the chest cavity, chest pain may be a symptom of a problem with your lungs, esophagus, ribs, muscles or nerves.

Is the pain triggered by exercise or emotional stress, and relieved with rest? Does it feel like a pressure or squeezing sensation? Then, it could be angina.

A blockage in the heart blood vessels that reduces blood flow and oxygen to the heart muscle itself can cause pain known as angina.

Myocarditis, which is inflammation of the heart muscle, can cause chest pain, fever, fatigue, trouble breathing and a fast heart rate.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and esophageal contraction disorders can cause chest pain.

Anonymous, have you been evaluated by a cardiologist and a gastroenterologist?

Since you continue to have these symptoms despite the initial evaluation of an ECG and having your blood pressure checked, I think it is time to get a second opinion.

Regards,
Maryann
