Hi Mommyx2kids and thanks for sharing your story and concerns with the EmpowHER community.

Yes, you should continue to seek answers for the cause of your pain and you may want to repeat the Berkeley HeartLab test to get more current results.

Did you doctor explain how he concluded you are unlikely to have a heart attack? Jaw pain is one of the less common symptoms found in women. Please see this link from the American Heart Association. Should your pain change to the point where you think you need urgent, emergency care do not hesitate to get it.

Also, shoulder injuries sometimes manifest as pain in the neck area, according to the Cleveland Clinic. Please see this link for more information.

Giving you a muscle relaxant will provide some temporary relief, but will also mask the pain. It's important to find out the source of the pain. The diagnostic work that's already been done is helpful, but you still don't have answers.

It's great that you're looking out for your own health. It's not always easy to demand the answers we need and deserve, but maintaining our health is one of the most vital things we must do for ourselves and those who depend on us.

I hope this helps and you will keep in touch and let us know your progress in getting to the bottom of what's causing your pain.

Take care,

Pat
