It's always good to use some kind of protection when having sex and durex is a good choice.  The plan of not allowing him to ejaculate during penetration is also a good choice.  However, condoms are generally 98% effective which means there is still a 2% chance of pregnancy.  Although this is a very small percentage, it is something to keep in mind.

If you are going to continue to have intercourse with your boyfriend you may want to consider an even more effective method of birth control such as pills.  Talk to your doctor in order to determine the best kind of birth control method for you.
