Guide

Hello, and thank you for sharing with the community.  I know how worried this must make you.  I'd love to give you some helpful information on the subject.

First, however, I want to make sure I am understanding your situation.  Do you mean to say that you stopped taking birth control pills after 5 years of taking them.  After you stopped taking them you had sex and the condom broke.  If this is the cause, and you took Plan B an hour later then your chances of pregnancy are very low.  Plan B is 95% effective when taken within 24 hours of having penetrative sex.  It is very effective.

If you do however experience a missed period, or irregular period when your next period is due, you should take a pregnancy test in order to be sure you are not pregnant.

Let us know if you have any more questions.

All the best,

Faith
