Guide

Hello, and thank you for sharing your question with the community.

Although colloidal silver is still sold and can be used for eye infections, there is something important to consider before using it.  In 1999, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ruled that it was not safe or effective.  Since it is not approved by the FDA it is not the best thing to be using on such a delicate part of the body such as the eye.

If you do have an eye infection there are many other FDA approved products that you can be certain are safe and effective.  I would suggest using those instead.

Ask your doctor which drug is best for you, depending on the kind of infection you may have.

Let us know if you have any more questions.
