Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for coming to us with your questions.

I cannot tell you when you can expect your period to start because you have overdosed yourself with synthetic hormones by taking Plan B when there was not a need and especially when you should have started menstruating while taking the inactive pills.

Birth control pills protect against pregnancy mainly by stopping ovulation. The synthetic hormones in the pill accomplish this. The seven day break from hormones (sugar pills) triggers monthly bleeding.

There was never a risk of becoming pregnant when you had intercourse on day two of the sugar pills.

Since there never was a risk for pregnancy, I do not see a need to take a pregnancy test.

Lastly, please consult your gynecologist about this. Your physician will be more knowledgeable.

Regards,
Maryann
