Dear Geraldo,

Yes, anxiety can definitely be a cause for grinding your teeth! Much like how people bite their nails when they are under stress or experiencing anxiety.

You could try herbal supplements to help curb the anxiety or talk to your physician about medication options.

Anxiety and depression is not something that should be taken lightly...look at Robin Williams for example.

The clenching of your teeth can cause permanent damage to your jaw and other dental problems down the road. 

It sounds like you are trying to fix your condition and so I wouldn't give up on Acupuncture and also talk to your doctor-you shouldn't have to live with anxiety and depression when there are ways to curb the symptoms and manage it in a healthy way.
