Some women bleed or have some spotting if they have sex close after finishing their period. Sometimes it may seem like your period has ended, when it actually hasn't. It is very likely that the red discharge is the very end of your period. It is possible that the bleeding may be connected to having anal sex, but it sounds like the bleeding is most likely from your period. Sometimes discharge and spotting at the very end of your period can be a different color or shade than your normal menstrual cycle.
If you continue bleeding or experience any pain, I would set up an appointment with your doctor to figure out what exactly is going on.
