You were not at risk because you have been taking oral contraceptives regularly for four months, but most importantly, you had your period.

The risk of becoming pregnant peaks during the period of ovulation. Oral contraceptives prevent ovulation. Even if you were not on birth control, by the time your period starts ovulation has occurred.
