Several things that helped us: take probiotics; a good one is Florastor but there are other good ones. Instead of big meals eat throughout the day. Keep fat grams in balance - too many can cause digestive issues. Breads with meals helps. And pasta has lots of calories, plus so many good things can be added to it to make it taste good.
