Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for asking us for help.

Have you had unprotected sex since your last period? How was your hCG levels checked, with a blood test or a urine test? Was it done in your doctor's office or a clinic? What did the healthcare provider say about the results and possible reasons that you have not gotten your period?

The hCG hormone is produced only during pregnancy.Levels can first be detected by a blood test about 11 days after conception and about 12 – 14 days after conception by a urine test. In general the hCG levels will double every 72 hours.

The hCG hormone is measured in milli-international units per milliliter (mIU/ml).An hCG level of less than 5mIU/ml is considered negative for pregnancy, and anything above 25mIU/ml is considered positive for pregnancy.

With such low hCG levels, I doubt that you are pregnant.

Regards,
Maryann
