See if they will do and ankle joint replacement to ease the pain. I was introduced to the fusion as an option and turned it down for the problems you indicated. Im looking for an ankle joint replacement. Even if they tell you it last 5 years get it anyway to take the pressure off your other joints, because of an uneven gait.
