Guide

Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

Is the pain sharp or dull? Is the pain in the breast separate from the arm pain? Does the pain increase with trying to raise the arm? Are you able to raise your arm fully?  Or is your range of motion limited? How long have you experience the pain?

Have you done a breast-examination?  If not, below is a handy guide to help:

How To Breast Exam

Breast pain is common in perimenopausal women (ages 35 - 60).  Also, typically breast pain is not a sign of cancer.

It's hard to say what is causing this, so the best thing to do is to make an appointment to see your doctor soon.

I hope this helps.

Be well,

~Gillette
