Long the butt of jokes, stinky feet are no laughing matter if they are yours.
According to a study in the International Research Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, soaking your feet in Lemongrass essential oil kills up to 83% of germs that cause foot odor (brevibacterium) on contact.
Here’s how to handle foot odor:
-Fill up a basin with the hottest water you can stand.
-Add 15 drops of Lemongrass essential oil.
-Dry your feet.
-Repeat twice a week.
Athlete’s Foot or Toenail Fungus
For relief from Athlete’s foot fungus or Toenail fungus:
-1-2 drops of Melaleuca essential oil on the affected area (aka Tea Tree Oil)
Be sure to treat your shoes as well. Discard your socks.
Aggressive Athlete’s Foot
If you’ve got it bad, use this blend of essential oils:
-5 drops Eucalyptus
-3 drops Roman Chamomile
-3 drops Myrrh
-4 drops Melaleuca
-Mix with 2 ounces of fractionated coconut oil and rub 2-3 drops of this blend on the affected area and on your shoes. Discard your socks.
