Are your menstrual cycles regular? Has this ever happened before?
The brown spotting indicates old blood left from your last period. Your body is simply expelling it. I do not think it is anything to worry about.
Are the cramps similar to pre-menstrual cramps? Is the cramping on one side of your pelvic area? If so, that would concern me because it might indicate ovulation and that would be abnormal since you just had your period.
It is possible that the cramping might be gastrointestinal in nature. This could indicate a stomach virus or intolerance to a particular food.
If the symptoms persist or the cramping worsens, please consult your physician.
