Hot flashes and night sweats are common symptoms that may occur after a hysterectomy. Hormone imbalance is the culprit. Be sure to discuss the night sweats with your doctor. Although they can be a normal sign of recovery, they can also be a sign that something else is going on and needs attention.
Here are some suggestions for relief:
Nightwear - avoid polyester and flannel and choose light weight cotton.
Chillow or Iso Cool Pillow - Pillow that stays cooler and absorbes access heat.
Discuss hormone treatment options with your doctor.
Modifications in diet, exercise(daily activity) and supplements can be helpful as well.
