Flaxseed are rich in micronutrients, dietary fiber, vitamin B1 and Omega 3. It is a functional foods that has additional health promoting or disease prevention benefits over and above there basic nutritional value.  Before taking flaxsee products, it is best to consult with your doctor. 

Ground flaxseed is good for weight loss because of it's versatility.  You can incorporate it into your smoothies, sprinkle it over cereal and salads and even bake with it. There are some weight loss benefits due to their low carbohydrates and high omega 3 high fatty acid content. And the fiber rich content helps to stabilize blood sugar levels.
