Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for reaching out to our community for a straight answer.

Implantation bleeding, which usually occurs six to 12 days following conception, is scanty, not more than spotting, pink or brown in color, and never increases to a heavy flow. It may be associated with slight cramping.

It happens when the fertilized egg implants in the lining of the uterus.

In your case, this does not sound like implantation bleeding.

Anonymous, when this bleeding started, were you due to start your period? Have you had unprotected intercourse since your last period?

I am concerned about the heavy bleeding with clots. My concern focuses on a possible miscarriage, only if there was a chance that you did conceive during the weeks since your last period.

Regards,
Maryann
