Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for reaching out to us for help.

Are you under the care of a gynecologist? If not, please schedule an appointment with one.

I do not know what pills or herbal remedy you have been taking, so I cannot comment on that.

This sounds like menorrhagia. Symptoms of menorrhagia include a menstrual period that lasts longer than seven days and bleeding is so heavy that you must change your tampon or pad more than once per hour.

Causes include a hormonal imbalance, pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine fibroids and uterine polyps, ovary dysfunction, and adenomyosis, which happens when glands from the uterine lining embed in uterine muscle.

This condition can cause serious blood loss and lead to iron deficiency anemia.

Anonymous, you need the medical attention of a well trained gynecologist, who can diagnose the cause and treat you properly.

Regards,
Maryann
