The good news is that being HIV positive does not cause bleeding after sex. It is actually common and usually does not signify anything serious. Bleeding after sex in pre-menopausal women is usually caused by fiction on the cervix. In this case, you need to use more lubrication. Other, more serious causes usually happen in postmenopausal women. If you are post--menopausal causes can include: cervical cancer, vaginal atrophy, cervical polyps, genital sores, injury to uterine lining etc. If you are premenopausal, keep in mind that although more serious causes usually do not occur in young women, it can still happen. So, if you feel that you could have a more serious issue going on then insufficient lubrication, you need to see a doctor.
