Hello khen,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for coming to us with your questions regarding the findings on your lab report and the effectiveness of Bactiflox.

Your doctor is the best person to answer these question, but I will do my best to give you some basic information.

Epithelial cells make up or comprise the epithelium, which lines the outer layer of the skin or the epidermis, the surface of most body cavities, and the lumen or inside space of fluid-filled organs, such as the gut or intestine.

khen, just saying epithelial cells are 10 to 12 doesn't give me any clue.

By pus cells, do you mean leukocytes? Leukocytes or white blood cells are important blood components and also play a key role in the immune system. There are several different types of leukocytes, each having a specific function in your body.

If you have a high count of leukocytes in your blood, it could be an indication of the presence of an underlying disease or infection. Likewise, when you have a low count or leucopenia, and it could be an indicator of some medical problems.

Bactiflox (Ciprofloxacin) is an antibiotic prescribed to treat respiratory tract infections, such as bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis or otitis media.
It can be used to treat urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal tract infections , skin and soft tissue infections, gonorrhea, bone and joint infections, and eye infections.

Continue taking the medication as directed by your doctor. But do speak with her regarding your concerns and ask her to explain what the lab results mean.

Regards,
Maryann
