Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
The problem most of the time is that doctors prescribe birth control pills to cure the symptom without finding the cause. In your case there could be a few possible causes which include: hormonal imbalance due to polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), thyroid gland disorders, possible damage to the uterus/ovaries during the c-section, or anemia. You should definitely have a pap smear/pelvic exam to start. Then if traditional medicine does not offer you any solution, I highly suggest that you try herbal treatments. Herbal treatments are not only reliable, but effective and generally without side effects.
