Here is the correct way to take Novynette:
--Start the first pill on the first day of your menstrual period.
--Take one pill a day for 21 days
--Stop taking the pill for 7 days
--during the week you will have a period
--Start taking the pills again on the 8th day
Being off the pill for one week is very important to keeping your period regular. If you wish you can go off the pill and then restart. However, you risk disrupting your cycle even more. So I suggest you start where you are now and try taking it correctly from now on.
Another option would be to take a birth control pill in which you take sugar pills during your period week. This helps you stay on schedule.
