Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I am glad you came to us with your concerns.

You cannot be pregnant. However, I am very concerned that by taking an emergency contraceptive while having your period caused hormonal imbalance.

Anonymous, contact your gynecologist or primary care physician as soon as possible.

There was no chance of becoming pregnant when you had sex on the second day of your period.

When you are having a period, the lining of the uterus is being shed or removed from your body.
Ovulation, which is when an ovary releases an egg, had passed.

There is no egg to be fertilized by sperm and no lining for the fertilized egg to imp;ant itself.

Anonymous, when you took the ipill, which contains a synthetic or manmade form of the female hormone, progesterone. It did nothing to prevent a pregnancy but could have caused your period to stop. Your doctor knows more about this than I do.

Regards,
Maryann
