Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I am glad you reached out to us for help concerning your mother.

You mention the onset of weakness in both of her hands and feet, and that it has lasted for three days. Did she ever experience this before?

You mention that she "was a paralytic one." What do you mean? Is she paralyzed in some part of her body? What medical conditions does she suffer with?

Anonymous, I understand how much you want to help her. The best thing that you can do is to call her primary care physician. Please do this today.

Muscle weakness that begins in the hands or feet is one symptom of peripheral neuropathy.

Peripheral neuropathy occurs when the peripheral nerves, which are the nerves connecting your spinal cord and brain to other parts of your body become damaged. Damage to the peripheral nerves causes symptoms such as tingling and numbness, lack of sensation, and pain.

Paralysis is the loss of muscle function in part of your body. It happens when something goes wrong with the way messages pass between your brain and muscles

Please keep us updated once you have spoken with her doctor.

Regards,
Maryann
