Guide

Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
First of all, birth control pills prevent ovulation. When the body does not release an egg, there is nothing for the sperm to fertilize, making pregnancy impossible.
The birth control pills alone are enough to prevent pregnancy. Using condoms while on birth control pills is only necessary to prevent STD's but it is not necessary to prevent pregnancy.
Secondly, if your boyfriend did not ejaculate, not only was there no egg, there was also no sperm. Pre-ejaculate seldom contains sperm that is healthy enough to cause pregnancy. But even if it did, it could not impregnate you because you are on birth control pills.
Taking a "low dosage" birth control does not make it less effective. It simply means that the hormonal dosage is lower. This might also be the reason you had a lighter period and having a lighter period does not mean you are pregnant.
Below I have pasted a link of a HER article that talks more about birth control pills.

I hope that helps.
