Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community with your question about skin sclerosis.

Scleroderma, or systemic sclerosis, is a chronic connective tissue disease generally classified as one of the autoimmune rheumatic diseases. Hardening of the skin is one of the most visible manifestations of the disease.

The problem is with your immune system, which causes your body to make too much of the protein collagen, an important part of your skin.

As a result, your skin gets thick and tight, and scars can form on your lungs and kidneys. Your blood vessels can thicken and not work the way they should. This leads to tissue damage and high blood pressure.

Anonymous, have you experienced tearing of your vulva and anus? Have you seen a physician about this?

This does not sound like scleroderma.

You may have an anal fissure, which is a cut or tear occurring in the anus that extends upwards into the anal canal. The fissure can be caused by having hard stools associated with constipation.

Some women, who suffer with more than four Candida yeast infections in one year, will have severe redness, swelling, and itching that leads to sores or tears in vaginal tissue.

Aggressive sex and no enough lubrication can cause vaginal tearing.

Anonymous, if you have not already been examined by a doctor. please call either your gynecologist or primary care physician today.

Regards,
Maryann
