Guide

Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
Birth control pills prevent ovulation. When there is no egg for the sperm to fertilize, pregnancy cannot occur. This is why you are completely protected while taking the pill even when you have intercourse.
If you do not have intercourse, pregnancy is impossible whether on or off the pills. Sperm dies within a few minutes of being in open air. Also wiping off the sperm further ensures that any sperm that was there was damaged and/or removed.
