Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community for help with your concerns.

There are a few concerns here. One, was it pre ejaculate fluid or semen that was leaking out when he put on the condom? Pre ejaculate fluid itself does not contain sperm, but semen does.

Then, this happened on the day you think you were ovulating.

Thirdly, you took an emergency contraceptive three days later, just at the cut off point when it would be effective. Plus, an ECP prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation and you may after already ovulated.

Emergency contraceptives can cause a delay in the start of a period. Stress also leads to a delay.

If your period does not start within the next seven days, take a home pregnancy test. Test in the morning and use the first urine of the day.

Regards,
Maryann
