Hello PB_J,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for coming to us with your concern if you were at risk for becoming pregnant.

If you are not ready to become pregnant but are sexually active, you and your partner must use birth control. He should wear a condom each and every time from start to finish. You need to learn about all birth control options and choose the right one for you.

If semen leaked out while your boyfriend's penis was in your vagina, and you were ovulating, there was a risk of becoming pregnant.

Pre ejaculate fluid itself does not contain sperm. Semen does.

Ovulation happens mid cycle or about two weeks after your last menstrual period ends. You are most fertile five days before and on the day of ovulation.

PB_J, since there was genital to genital contact, the risk for pregnancy existed. If your next period is late by at least seven days, please test for pregnancy.

Regards,
Maryann
