When taking birth control for the first time ever, it takes one week for the pills to actively prevent pregnancy. If you have been taking the pill for a few months already it has been affective since that first week. In other words, you were protected, not unprotected when you had intercourse on the 30th. You do not need to worry about pregnancy unless you were taking the pills for the first time.
