I had the reverse effect. I am 54 and just have come through menopause. I've had debilitating back pain, meds weren't working, and have been to several doctors as well as had all the spinal injections for over a year now. I tried hormone replacement and bioidentical pellets didn't seem to help with back pain but with other negative issues; however after switching to synethetic estrodial I have almost immediate relief. It's been a miracle. My advice is you have to keep looking/trying everything to tweak this hormone imbalance. I didn't realize what all was effected in my body till I found relief in areas of skin, hair loss, night sweats, mood and libido.
