Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community with your question.

Are your periods regular? Was intercourse unprotected? When did you test? Did you test once your period was late by at least seven days? Did you test in the morning and did you use the urine when you first woke up and used the bathroom? Were the test name brand tests?

If you tested properly, then you can accept the negative results.

The menstrual cycle is regulated by a precise balance of hormones. Any upset in that balance will cause an irregularity, such as late or missed periods.

Common causes include periods of prolonged and high stress, marked increase in physical activity, extreme weight loss or weight gain, thyroid gland issue and perimenopause.

Anonymous, do any apply to you? You can wait and see if your period starts soon, since you are having period related pain or contact your gynecologist.

Regards,
Maryann
