This does not sound like a normal period for you. Since you have been having unprotected intercourse in the attempt to conceive, it is possible you are pregnant and this is spotting.
Consider reaching out to your gynecologist, who can order a blood pregnancy test, which is more accurate than a urine test. If you are indeed pregnant, it is the right time to start prenatal care and check out the brown spotting of the last two months.
