Your stomach is located on the left side of your abdomen. Trapped gas can trigger nerve pain in the stomach which is experienced as sharp pain under left breast. So, that might be one cause. Another might be a muscle strain of some sort. If the pain worsens or does not ease up, see your doctor or urgent care facility.
