I'm not sure I understand (exactly) your question. There is a risk of pregnancy when a woman has unprotected sexual intercourse with ejaculation inside her vagina or (more rarely) on the opening. If the test was taken 14-21 days after sex, you can consider it accurate. We can't know why else her period might be late. Many things can impact the menstrual cycle, stress, illness or a life style change of some sort. See your doctor if you are still concerned.
