HERWriter Guide

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Thinning hair could be a natural sign of aging - even in women who are used to having a head full of hair.

A burning scalp could be due to a skin infection on your scalp or even bugs - have you been able to see your scalp to see what it looks like? Part it and take a photo and take a look. You may have developed an allergy to your hair products, even if you have used them for years. Allergies can pop up out of nowhere.

You may also be dealing with scalp psoriasis, an auto immune skin condition that can cause burning, flaking and irritation/itch. Without treatment, scalp psoriasis can lead to temporary hair loss.

A dermatologist can help you further. As I am sure you know, with your background, the scalp is a continuation of our skin, the body's largest organ.

Best,
Susan
