All we can say is if it will give you peace of mind, then go ahead. We can't say if it's necessary to prevent pregnancy - you know what happened and the risks involved (or not).
If you take it, make sure you read the paperwork that comes with it so you know what to expect in terms of side effects etc. There is always some risk (even very small) when you have unprotected sex.
