IBS-D can be chronic for some people and is often exacerbated by stress. The stress of constant diarrhea is enough for the diarrhea to continue. My advice is to see a gastric specialist. There is a particular breath test than can be done to examine the small intestines to see if a bacteria in there is causing this IBS-D. Ask about this breath test. I finally got one (I have IBS-D and IBS-C, you can actually have both) and bacteria was found, medication given and I felt a lot better.
It's called a Hydrogen Breath Test.
I hope you find a treatment, I know how awful this condition is.
