I tend not to think so. But one can aggravate the other. Antihistamines and decongestants can often help with postnasal drip caused by sinusitis and viral infections. They can also be effective, along with steroid nasal sprays, for postnasal drip caused by allergies.

Things he can do for acid reflux that may help:
Wear loose clothing.
Practice proper posture.
Elevate from the waist up.
Mix in a teaspoon of baking soda into a glass of water.
Chew gum to help neutralize the acid.
Stay away from cigarette smoke.
Try over-the-counter medications.

He should see the doctor about these issues should they worsen.
