I can't thank you enough for coming to our site and
sharing your story with me. You really do have a big and generous heart. Raising money, raising awareness. Those are all great and powerful things that you've done. You've turned what some would have viewed as a really bad thing....being diagnosed with heart disease..... And having to have a triple bypass (which my dad did too) and turned into a way that you can help, not only yourself, but others. You have become a PATIENT ADVOCATE!!
That's just what I decided to do after I got well. Turn my situation into a positive and help others. Advocate and teach others how to advocate for themselves and their loved ones. Doesn't it feel good to know that you can help others by sharing your own health experience? I wake up every day and am thankful that I was able to create this site. My hope is to reach every person I can. To let them know there are people that really care about them. There is a safe place to go to get information from others like you, Mark and me...And that complete strangers can care about your health and well being, just as much as your loved ones.
Mark, you are so generous of heart. For you to take the time to thank those that saved your life sends a beautiful and thoughtful message.
We need more men and women sharing their life altering health experiences. We have so much to teach one another. Others, now know, after reading your story that they will survive. This is a wonderful message and gift you are sharing with many. It is such great validation for the person who has just been diagnosed. You give them such hope and comfort.
The entire EmpowHer team looks forward to hearing more from you, Mark. Keep us posted on your health and all the good works you are doing.
I love the fact that men are coming to our site and sharing. I'm often asked....why aren't you doing this for men, too? Well, it looks like you've just started a new trend at EmpowHer. I hope we have a lot more men sharing their stories just like you.
