Kristina,
I think we can ALL relate to your plight...congrats! :-) In our Forums, we discussed some of the ways we like to stay motivated to exercise and eat right. I know for me, I have to include BOTH in my routine. If I take a long walk one morning, then I eat healthier that day, and in smaller portions, too. Then, I'm more likely to pick up some weights while I watch TV that evening.... it just acts like a domino effect.

Also...I have a difficult time taking care of myself if I'm angry at my husband or other family members (child excluded). I use my anger or sadness as a reason to treat myself to dessert, instead of it being something I enjoy on a weekly basis. So, I would get to know your "emotional make-up" and what motivates you/de-motivates you to stay healthy. Since I know my weakness, I'm much more apt to talk to my hubby about what irritated me in the first place, so I can get on with life and enjoy!

Lastly, if my sister where writing, she would say: take it slow! She goes full-force into exercising when she hasn't exercised for months, then injures herself and becomes frustrated. Take it slow and build up the pace and intensity.

Please do keep us updated, especially on what type of exercise you choose. Check out our Forums for more inspiration and sharing opportunities:
